Installing Aria on your workstation is a 3-part process.  Read on for further details. 



Step 1:  Install Aria 

To install Aria:

1. Locate the Aria installation file and double-click it to begin the installation.

[NOTE:  The proper Aria installation file for your organization must be obtained from your Maplewave Solutions Analyst / Implementer, or from your Aria Administrator.]


2. A security warning will appear – click the Run button.

3. The Aria Installation wizard will appear – click the Next button to begin.

4. The License Agreement for the software will open. Select the I accept the agreement option, then click the Next button to continue.

5. To finish the installation, accept all the default settings by clicking Next on the remaining windows.  Once the installation is complete, click the Finish button.




Step 2:  Apply Folder Permissions

Next, you must apply the necessary folder permissions to C:\Program Files (x86) as well as C:\Program Data:

1. Click the Windows Start button and then select Computer.

2. Browse to C:\Program Files (x86)

3. Find the MMS folder, right-click it, then select Properties.

4. Beneath the Security tab, click the Edit button.



 

 5. Select the Group or User Name that will be using Aria and ensure the Full Control permission checkbox is enabled.  Click the Apply button, then OK to apply folder permissions to C:\Program Files (x86).   




6. Next, you must reveal hidden folders in Windows so that you can apply permissions to C:\Program Data – click the Windows Start button, then select Control Panel.

7. Select the Appearance and Personalization option, then click Folder Options on the following screen.

8. Beneath the View tab, enable the option to Show Hidden Files, Folders and Drives.  Click the Apply button, then OK to reveal hidden folders in Windows.  




 9. Next, you must apply the necessary permissions to C:\Program Data – click the Windows Start button, then select Computer.

10. Browse to C:\Program Data

11. Find the MMS folder, right-click it, then select Properties.

12. Beneath the Security tab, click the Edit button.

13. Select the Group or User Name that will be using Aria and ensure the Full Control permission checkbox is enabled.  Click the Apply button, then OK to apply folder permissions to C:\Program Data




Step 3:  Adjust Monitor Display 

The final step is to adjust your monitor display to the “Smaller – 100%” setting for optimum screen and dialogue display within Aria:

1. Click the Windows Start button, then select Control Panel.

2. Select the Appearance and Personalization option.

3. Select Display.

4. Then, select the Smaller 100% display setting and click Apply



5. You will be prompted to restart your system for these changes to take effect.
