To perform an Advanced Search for an item that allows you to search for information within its inventory master record (e.g. description, supplier, catalogue number, etc.):    

  1. Navigate to the POS module and Add the Customer to the transaction.  

  2. Select the Advanced Search tab of the Item Search feature in the bottom left-hand corner of the Transaction screen.



      3. Click the dropdown menu provided to select a search method, enter your search terms in the provided field, then press the Enter key on your keyboard.


[NOTE:  Search methods are configured to your organization.] 

 



      4. The Advanced Search window will open.  Set the Fields and Condition dropdowns as desired, enter your search term in the Search Values field, then click the Search icon




     5. A list of items that match the search terms will display. To add an item to the sale, select it and click OK.


[NOTE:  To view more details about an item, select it, then click the Information icon at the bottom of the window.]
