You may occasionally encounter issues (e.g. when reviewing serials for an item, during an inventory shelf count, etc.) where there is quantity on a serialized item but when you click the View Serials function from the item’s inventory record to access the Serials screen, a blank space is displaying in the Serial # field (and the serial is reflecting information within the Date Received field).
When this occurs, it indicates there was an issue during the receiving process for that item.
The Maplewave Client Services team must be contacted for assistance – there is no way for you to resolve this issue yourself. Before contacting Maplewave, first check your serials in stock for the item as there should be a serial that is not listed on the Serials screen for it:
- If the ‘Extra’ Serial is Found for the Item: Provide the serial number to Maplewave – it will be used to replace the Blank Serial entry.
- If No ‘Extra’ Serials are Found for the Item: This indicates the serial may have already been added back into inventory at some point by the dealer. If this is the case, Maplewave will remove the Blank Serial entry which will adjust the quantity for the item.
