The V-DOCS process starts at the point when the PDF document is displayed in your internet browser in Document mode.  Instead of printing the document:

  1. Select the V-DOCS icon in the toolbar of your browser.

      2. V-DOCS will launch, and the document will load in Document Signing mode.  V-DOCS will parse the information from the document and highlight any Signature and/or Initial points with green boxes.  Refer to the table, below, for an overview of the available features once the document initially loads in V-DOCS.

Page Navigation

The number of document pages, and what page you are currently on (i.e. page 2 of 3), is displayed in the top navigation bar.

If the document is more than 1 page, Next and Previous arrows will appear (as applicable) to allow navigation between pages.

Select the Next arrow in the top navigation bar to open the Document Details panel of the document (i.e. to confirm the details of the document).

Select the Add icon towards the bottom of the screen to open a Custom Signature point that can be selected and moved to the desired location on the document for signing (i.e. in cases where V-DOCS does not find any Signature points on the document).

Cancel Icon

Select the X in the top-left corner of the navigation bar to cancel signing and discard all changes made to the document.

      3. To sign a document, either manually select the first Signature point on the document or select the Signature icon in the top navigation bar to move to the first available Signature point.

      4. The Signature Capture panel for the selected Signature point will open.  A navigation bar appears at the bottom of the panel containing features to aid with the signing of the document – these options are described in the table, below.

Feature

Description

OK Button

Select OK once the Signature point is signed to record the signature, close the Signature Capture panel and open the Document Details panel.

NOTE:  If there are further Signature points, they must be accessed/signed before the document is submitted.

Undo Button

Select Undo to erase that Signature point (i.e. if an error was made).

Once OK is selected to record a signed Signature point, the signature is temporarily locked in.  If that Signature Capture panel is re-accessed prior to submission, a Lock icon will appear to the right of the Signature Capture panel to indicate it already been signed.  The Undo button will also update to an Unlock icon – select this to re-sign the Signature point, if needed.

Signature Point Navigation

Indicates the number of Signature points on the document, and what Signature point you are on currently.

If the document has more than 1 Signature point, Next and Previous arrows will appear (as applicable) to allow navigation between Signature points.

Signature Cancel Icon

Select the X on the far-left of the navigation bar to close the Signature Capture panel.

      5. Sign within the Signature Capture panel on the dotted line, then select OK.  Or, if there are further Signature points, select the Next arrow to proceed to the Signature Capture panel of the next Signature point.   Repeat this process until all points are signed.

      6. The Document Details panel will open to the right of the document.  This panel contains information that V-DOCS parsed from the document (e.g. customer name, CTN, address, agreement type, etc.).  Review the parsed information to ensure its accuracy.

      7. If desired/required, you can attach additional documents to store with the agreement – refer to Add Attachments for details.

      8. Once complete, select the Submit button at the bottom of the Document Details panel to submit the agreement for storage.
